lovefactor present ......detour, looking for something

you can see our new work using cornish granite in our latest exhibition, on at the moment & until 12th november at the devon guild of craftsmen, bovey tracey, devon {details here}.

lovefactor present ...... detour, looking for something.

lovefactor are: pachadesign, paul anderson, christian o'reilly, sam walsh & sandy brown.

see what happens when 5 established furniture makers & a renowned ceramicist go deliberately in search of new materials with which to re-invigorate & expand their working practices; this exhibition portrays each artist's forays into unpredictable territory, & displays ingenious works incorporating for the 1st time their chosen elements alongside the tried & tested.
expect to find the accomplished & often beautiful results of inspired experimentation, together with samples of unexpected materials, maps, & tales of impasse & revelation.

return of risk exposure

we went to the private view last night of Return of Risk Exposure - a joint exhibition between 7 artists all based in Hartland. Our good friends Paul & Rose Anderson were exhibiting beautiful new work - Rose was showing a new collection of paintings: delicately painted trees and flowers with the most beautiful blues, yellows and oranges, all on handmade paper. Paul's work we always love: new sculptures and artefacts and a lovely collection of his latest planchettes.

Beautiful work from the other artists too: handmade books & marbled paper from Grizell Luttman Johnson, wood engravings from Jay Luttman Johnson, paintings from Bill Clarke and Roy Collins and paintings and sculptures from Tony Haslegrave.

Return of Risk Exposure is open from today until the 23rd july in the Church Rooms (in the car park) in Hartland.

deadlines and deliveries

what a week we have had - and it's sunday already. we've missed a few days posting (sorry about that) but a couple of deadlines crept up on us all of a sudden, so everything else had to wait. we had to deliver work to a gallery in St. Ives at the start of the week and had a lovely day looking around galleries in Newlyn and Penzance. Newlyn Art Gallery's exhibition was Subterrania - a solo exhibition of large scale photographic works by Fiona Crisp and also Ceramics in the Studio by Jason Wason. The gallery is beautiful inside and the view from the studio is stunning.

we also popped into Badcocks Gallery in Newlyn, as our good friend Paul Anderson has a selection of new sculptural pieces in their latest exhibition, along side work by painter Jeremy Le Grice. The exhibition is on until april 28th.
