len - a holga is a toy camera, it's plastic and usually has a plastic lens too and it uses medium format film. glenn bought me one a few years ago and I love it! the results can be sort of washed out and dreamy and you sometimes get light leaks (which I love too). it's a pretty basic camera but sometimes I get beautiful pictures from it and I love using medium format film.
liza - thankyou, the misty washed out light is more to do with me using a holga camera and expired film, but I liked the results too.
OH! Your "poor quality pictures" are beautiful. I have not used an "old fashioned" camera for some time now. It seems people are rediscovering the old style of photography in a new way. A lot of these beautiful pictures might have been thrown out due to not being perfect. Have a great weekend.

ReplyDeleteThese are just exquisite. So different from our crystal clear light here. Thank you. Have a beautiful weekend!
