we are having a 2 day open studio at our new space this weekend, with new work & 20% off all mirrors and clocks.
if you didn't get a chance to come to the opening of our new space last month or you want to visit again, we'd love to see you this Saturday or Sunday in Welcombe.

our new work includes sculptural burnt oak platters, rusted steel vessels + a beautiful minimal low oak coffee table just finished this week.
we'll have a selection of our reclaimed Cornish slate mirrors & clocks ranging in sizes, all with 20% off.
we'll also have plenty of serving boards and sushi plates in slate, our very popular salad servers in walnut or oak, chopping boards and our oak & slate lamps.
you'll be able to view and buy a selection of our furniture too, including coffee tables, consoles and side tables.

we are opening our studio in Welcombe, Devon for 4 days {28th april - 1st may} so we'd love to see you. it's our 1st open studio of the year - come and see where we live and where we design & make our furniture and accessories, see new work and snap up some discounted pieces!
we will have a selection of mirrors, clocks, lamps and leaf lanterns as well as our oak chopping/serving boards and our sushi serving plates. we will also have a selection of new furniture.

welcombe open studios '10

this weekend coming is our last event for the summer, so we hope you can all come along to pay us a visit. the forecast is saying sunshine so it should be a lovely day out - as well as the artists studios to visit we have a lovely pub, the old smithy inn, about 150 yards from our studio and the beach is just down the lane. there is also the beautiful Marsland Valley Nature Reserve if you fancy having a walk around this lovely part of Devon that we live in.



Welcombe Open Studios, now in it's 5th year, sees artists opening their studios to the public this year for 3 days - 13th, 14th & 15th August.

pachadesign - we will be open from 10.30am to 4.30pm, with a selection of furniture & accessories. we will have a range of our reclaimed cornish slate mirrors & clocks, starting from £30 with some larger sculptural pieces too, our oak and slate lamps, leaf lanterns, and oak chopping boards starting at £5 for little ones perfect for chopping up garlic or chillies on. we will also have more sets of our new coasters and japanese sushi plates.

David Westcott - our local potter will have a wide range of slip decorated earthenware, raku pots and sculpture at Welcombe Pottery.


Rebecca Cohen - life drawing & painting, portraits, work on a personal theme and some one-off ceramics.

John Moat - books (novels, short stories, poetry collections), several limited editions, paintings, poem prints and etchings.

Rick Hall - Rick uses a strange drawing machine known as a twin elliptic harmonograph to produce beautiful images, rich in colour, depth & movement. He will also have smaller drawings starting at £5 for sale that we are sure will be snapped up! Rick's studio is a little further than the rest but absolutely worth the lovely drive along the coast road.


Welcombe lies on the coast at the border of North Devon & Cornwall, inbetween Hartland & Bude - click {here} to see where we are.
there will be leaflets with maps to find all studios in a few places in Welcombe (the local shop, the pub, the village hall & each studio) but all studios will be signposted around the village too.
we will all be open from 10.30am to 4.30pm so we hope to see you this friday, saturday & sunday.

we are open & a few thankyou's

we are all set up & ready for our open studio which starts today at 10.30am. we've made some new chopping boards and some more sets of coasters & japanese plates and have tried a new configuration for our squares mirrors this time. we are open today until 4.30pm and the same again for saturday & sunday - hope to see you here!

pachadesign open studio this weekend

we are opening our studio this friday, saturday & sunday (18th, 19th & 20th) as part of Art Trek - hope you can all come along to see us! there will be signs all the way to our studio from the A39 .... if you are driving to us, don't be put off by the lane down from The Old Smithy Inn & the pottery - it looks quite narrow but it's fine (and the same goes for our driveway ..... there is plenty of parking and turning space). we are about 250yards from the pub, so you could always make a day of it and have lunch at The Old Smithy (they serve great food) as well as visiting us and then the beach at Welcombe Mouth too. click {here} to find Welcombe on multimap.




we will be selling a range of our furniture & accessories: oak chopping boards from £5, leaf lanterns at £12.50 and our new reclaimed cornish slate coasters & japanese plates. oak & slate lamps and a selection of clocks, our new squares mirrors where you can design your own configuration to suit your space (or we can design one for you) and our low tea table and off-set console. we will have a selection of our reclaimed cornish slate mirrors from £30 and some oak tea-light blocks too.
we usually have a few seconds & some old stock at discounted prices too.

thankyou

thankyou to everyone that came to visit our open studio this easter weekend. we had a good 3 days and the rain managed to hold off until today (it's pouring down here now). the studio will be back to the workshop in a day or two and we will have to get back to work, but, for now, thankyou to all of you that came to see us - we shall let you know when our next open studio is soon.

our easter open studio

hope you all had a lovely weekend. it was a bit rainy and grey here for us so not very fun at all but then we saw that david had done a little post about us on his wonderful blog you have been here sometime which totally cheered us up. it's another of our favourite blogs and he said some very kind words about us - thankyou david, we are flattered.

we are missing those sunny weekends we had a couple of weeks back and we are crossing our fingers for nice weather this weekend too. we are opening our studio for 3 days over easter - saturday 3rd, sunday 4th & monday 5th april (10.30am to 4pm each day) - so wish us a little sunshine please.





we hope you can come along and visit us - we will have some furniture for sale & a selection of accessories (mirrors, clocks, lamps, chopping boards, lanterns) and a few discounted items too.
