madebyhandonline.com

we've been meaning to tell you about madebyhandonline.com for a while now - a new online store that we have been selling a selection of our furniture & accessories on {see our page on the site here}. our friend sarah, along with her business partner katie, set up madebyhandonline to promote & sell high quality craft from some of britain & ireland's most exciting contemporary designer makers.
the site offers beautiful handmade work in 3 sections: jewellery, fashion and home & garden, and has profiles of all the makers so you can learn a bit more about them and their processes behind the making. there is also a great resources section, makebyhand, which includes a national directory of makers, jobs & opportunities, courses & workshops, news & more. sarah & katie have just started the mbhblog too.
we've put together a little selection of some of our favourites from the site {details & links below}. hope you enjoy looking through the site, let us know!

currently loving
for our latest currently loving collection we thought we'd feature pia's new online portfolio.
we've followed pia's blog ever since we started our own journal. we love reading her stories about distant places she's visited, or a day spent simply watching the snow fall in winter in amsterdam. her stories about artists and beautiful handmade design. and stories of her own work as a stylist, photographer & writer. they are always told so beautifully and accompanied with the loveliest of images.
pia has just launched her new website/portfolio where you can see a beautiful collection of images of her styling, photography and snippets from her books - paris: made by hand, amsterdam: made by hand & her soon to be published travel memoir my heart wanders.
here is a little selection of some of our favourite images of pia's work - click on the link below to see more & enjoy.

elle interiør
today we are wishing we could get hold of a copy of april's elle interiør - we have totally fallen in love with the kitchen on the cover! our own kitchen is a mix of black, natural wood, dark slate & stainless steel but we love the concrete surfaces in this kitchen and the walls (and the little hand broom - we have a similar one ourselves).

you can see more from the latest issue of elle interiør (soon to be re-named elle decoration norway) on their lovely blog {here}.
