jono smart

one of our favourite potters, Jono Smart, opened his online summer shop yesterday and is already selling out fast, which doesn't surprise us at all as his work is stunning.

we worked with Jono last year, collaborating on a few different ideas for wooden plinths for his beautiful cups, sugar bowls, pourers and little vases - as you can see below, we used english oak for the dinner set of 6 cups and ash & burnt oak for the breakfast sets.

we've recently added a few new designs to our furniture page on our website.

this piece is called low T.
it's a circular version of our other low tea table.
we use beautiful sustainably sourced english oak for the top and the base is black powder-coated steel.

we are offering 15% off made to order furniture when you order before the 14th August 2016 - this includes all the current collection on our furniture page and also includes bespoke sizes {but not bespoke designs}.

we have recently added a few new pieces to our website which are all included in the offer:
 
oak & steel stool - a raw steel frame with a low curved back with either an oak seat or a burnt oak seat {slightly higher back option available too} .. perfect as a bar stool or at a breakfast bar.
circular low T - our circular version of our other low tea table, made using english oak with a steel base powder-coated black.
oak & steel media unit - raw folded steel unit with a full length soft close drawer made using english oak .. open section below drawer and back panel with hole for cables.
this piece could also be adapted as a low sideboard.
oak or brass top side table - perfect size side table with raw steel frame and either an english oak top or a brass top.

a couple of other changes on our furniture page:
oak edge coffee table - a new lower version of this table is now available.
oak groupie console - we use beautiful reclaimed oak for this new slimmer version of our raw steel & oak console .. perfect for hallways or behind sofas.

we hope you can join us at our studio in Welcombe, North Devon as part of the 10th Welcombe Open Studios event to see our collection of furniture & objects for the home.

there will also be 9 other artists in the village for you to visit showing ceramics, glass, photography, textiles, fine art & more as well as Welcombe's Pop-Up Tearoom, children's workshops & National Trust Art on the Beach Day {Friday only}.

pachadesign open studio at Welcombe Open Studios 2014

we hope you can come & visit us 25th - 27th July at our home & studio in Welcombe on the coast at the border of North Devon & North Cornwall.

we will be opening our studio for 3 days as part of the Welcombe Open Studios 2014 event, along with lots of other local artists & designer makers on Friday 25th, Saturday 26th & Sunday 27th July from 10.30am to 4.30pm daily.

we'll have a selection of furniture at the studio including a beautiful walnut version of our low tea table, various groupie side tables with oak or brass tops - great as little side tables or for displaying your treasured objects, one of our rust shikiri open shelving units - the perfect room divider with space to display your books/ceramics/treasured objects + more furniture too.

objects on show & for sale will include various sizes of our cornish slate mirrors & clocks, lighting including our delicate leaf lanterns and oak & slate lamp bases and plenty of serving boards in oak, slate and blackened oak.

we will be offering 20% off most work at the studio over the 3 day event.

there will be plenty of other open studios in the village for you to visit with disciplines including pottery, glass, textiles, fine & abstract art, photography, poetry + more.

the extremely popular Welcombe Pop-Up Tearoom will be open again this year serving the yummiest cakes & refreshments.
our local pub, The Old Smithy Inn, just a few 100 yards away from our studio, will be open serving home cooked lunches & dinners.
